JM’s Weekly Update 11/5/23

Has it been 10 days already? Since Fate Calls was released Oct 26th, I feel like time is flying! I want to thank you all for a wonderful book release!

Fate Calls special edition reached number 6 in the Barnes & Noble top 100! Fate was hanging up there with Fourth Wing and Britney Spears lol. It was surreal and awesome for this small town Idaho girl! I don’t have a big publisher to back me, it was just because of all you readers! Thank you for joining me on this Elf Queen journey through epic cliffhangers and an expanding world of new mythology!

The limited special hardcover is still available on Barnes & Noble if you want to grab it or add it to the Christmas list

The feedback on this book has been wonderful. I’ve been on cloud 9 and have gotten so many wonderful messages, emails and comments about how much you love Fate. I wanted this series to be different from the typical “dark lord” evil vs the good guys, and the heroes defeat the bad guys and all is well. I planned it that way from the beginning, and it is different. There are definitely various shades of gray and not all is as it seems.

Some of my favorite reviews on Fate are:

“The other two books are amazing but Fate Calls is just magical.”

“Best series ever!! Must read!!! How far would you go for the love of your life? Oh man there is something about bad boys that take love to a whole new level! Buckle up buttercup!”

“This is seriously the best book of the entire series. Like, hands down.”

“I’ve never had a series take me on a rollercoaster like this one. Book one was amazing, book two was so much better, this one omg no words I have not slept in two days because I cannot put it down.”

“JM Kearl has become one of my absolute favorite authors. I don’t know how but this is the best book of the series and there’s still more to come.”

“Not reading this series is a CRIME!!!”

There are so many more awesome reviews but I’ll end it there! Again, thank you all for the wonderful reviews and messages! I can’t appreciate it enough!

If you read it and loved it but haven’t rated or reviewed yet, I’d appreciate it if you did! It helps the series get recognition and bring readers in.

Updates on book 4

I’ve had a pinched nerve in my neck for about a month. It really put me down for the past few weeks. The pain was nearly unbearable during release week, and I basically laid on the floor and popped IBuprofen round the clock. I’ve only recently started to feel better after many chiropractic visits and physical therapy but it’s definitely affected my writing.

I expect to release book 4 next year. Likely October again but it could be sooner. My books are long and I take my time to edit them but it won’t take longer than a year. I’m shooting for sooner but I can’t make any promises to a faster release.

I can’t remember if I told you in the last update but I will be at the Romantasy Bookcon in Orlando FL October 3-5 2024! Tickets go on sale Nov 17th at www.fabledfantasyevents.com there will be many romantasy authors there, vendors and a masked ball! I’d love to see some of my readers there.

I think that is all for today! We have a Elf Queen spoilers chat group if you’re dying to talk about Fate Calls and the series without ruining it for others who haven’t yet https://www.facebook.com/groups/824163585396713/
