Update 10/1/25! Special editions, audio books and more!

I took a summer hiatus (now we’re coming into fall haha) from posting my updates after Elf Queen 4 to spend time with my kids and focus on where I’m going next. Releasing the final book in The Elf Queen series was bittersweet. I was excited to have it complete and also sad to let it go. I’m thrilled so many of you loved the conclusion to the saga!

Elf Queen 4 Audio Update: The narrators Bridget and Jake Bordeaux are in the final stages of recording for Night Meets the Elf Queen! I will have a preorder and release date soon!

Special Editions: As some of you may know I’ve been working on my own special edition set of the Elf Queen books. The designs are finalized! Yipee!

The hardcover has artwork from Chrissabug, the dustjacket is double sided with one side having the original cover but with gold foil elements and the other side is an alternate cover I can’t wait to show you! The interior pages will also have a new pretty design! And shiny sprayed edges!

There will also be an option to get a special designed slip case that fits all four books! I can’t wait to reveal it all soon! (I’m working on the photos and graphics and setting up a preorder. I’m not the most techy so this takes me a while.)

New in the jmkearlbooks.com shop: I have a signed paperback edition of Night Meets the Elf Queen that comes with a foiled art print available.

New Book News: I am excited to tell you all that I’ve been working on a new fantasy romance book and I’m almost finished with the first draft! I’ve kept this one under my hat because I’m working with a UK publisher. As of right now I will be self-publishing this new book in the US and Canada so it will likely not be in bookstores (same as all my other books). I am sending it off for edits this month. The release in 2026. I’m so excited about this book! I can’t wait for you to meet the MC Aesira and of course the hot, broody love interest! Hehe

The Bookish Box Edition of Elf Queen 4: I’ve been told by The Bookish Box they will be announcing this edition and the on sale date in December! I was also told they will not be printing more of the previous books. Sorry! I asked but its out of my control.

Orlando Romantasy Bookcon: I’m sorry to say I will not be able to make it to this event. I was looking forward to meeting you readers and chatting but with upcoming deadlines and the special editions I planned to bring not ready, I had to back out. There are signed books or bookplates in my shop. I hope that helps. I don’t attend many of these events so that’s how I can accommodate.
